Nigerian Federal Government commits to Climate Change Actions

The Federal Government has reiterated its resolve to play a significant role globally in the tackling of climate change.

The Minister of Environment, Dr. Mahmood Muhammad Abubakar, stated this while addressing the Ministerial High-Level Segment of the 25th Session of the Conference of Parties (COP25) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and related meetings in Madrid, Spain.

Abubakar, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari, said: “It is obvious that the challenges of climate change are enormous. Nigeria therefore calls for sustainable joint and collaborative efforts to tackle the problem. We are willing to be part of the solution.”
